How we write

We sell a body cream, and we also publish articles about skin. You should know how those articles are made before you trust them.

Who writes

Articles are signed "The unberry team". We are a small team in Montréal, not doctors, and we do not pretend to be. We do not invent experts, and no article is "reviewed by" a professional unless a real one reviewed it and is named.

How an article is made

1. We pick one question people actually search for, and check what the pages that already answer it leave out.
2. We collect the facts first, each with its source, before a single sentence is written.
3. We write the article from those facts only.
4. A separate check compares every sentence with its source. A second one reads for clarity and cuts what does not help you.
5. A person on the team reads the final version and decides whether it is published.

Where we use AI

We use AI tools to help research, draft and check our articles, and to create some illustrations. We tell you because you may reasonably want to know. The tools do not get the last word: the facts must come from the sources we link, and a person approves every article.

Illustrations are labeled as illustrations. We never publish made-up before and after pictures.

Our sources

For anything about skin, an ingredient or a study, we rely on dermatology associations, public health bodies, hospitals and published research, and we link to them in the text so you can check. We do not use other brands' blogs as evidence.

When the sources disagree, or do not answer a question, we say so instead of picking the convenient version.

What we will not do

• Give medical advice. Our articles are general information. If your skin hurts, itches, spreads or worries you, see a doctor or a dermatologist.
• Present our cream as a treatment for a skin condition. It is a cosmetic.
• Publish invented reviews, ratings or testimonials.

We sell something

We make a product for rough, bumpy skin, so we are not neutral. Our rule is that an article must still be useful to someone who never buys anything from us.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, tell us through the contact page. We correct the article and its date shows when it was updated.
